Hemp to be Grown in Colorado!

According to a recent article, hemp has been given “The Green Light” in Colorado’s legal cannabis measure. Colorado’s new law is a huge benefit for not only local farmers, but all residents. While crops like wheat, corn, cotton etc. continue to stuggle in depleted soil and drought conditions, hemp can enjoy legal status and bring benefits to the environment, the economy and human health.

Thanks to this amazing plant’s versatility, farmers can grow it for virtually anything:

– A nutritious seed

– Soft, durable fiber for clothing, canvas, rope and I-tal Hempwick

– Oil for fuel and plastic

– Durable building material

– Paper at a fraction of the time, damage and cost of paper from trees

– An effective cover crop

Of course, there’s always a chance that the Federal Government will decide to step in and ruin Colorado’s chance to reap the benefits of the hemp plant, but it’s still a big step in the right direction. Hoping we can all enjoy some US-grown hemp products in the near-future!
